Re: cat has candida bad :( :(
Hello Geek0-
I am sorry to hear about your plight. In my opinion, just want to say be VERY careful about getting the advice of people concerning your animals. I would be very cautious about giving my pet something that I would take like antifungals, etc. Some of these products are probably made for human consumption only.
As far as the
Antibiotic from the vet, there is a possibility that your cat was made much worse after taking the
Antibiotic because as we all know, even when humans take antifungals, the symptoms ALWAYS get much worse before they get better. This is a known fact and you may be just giving up too soon on the antibiotic.
Unfortunately the symptoms of Candida are so varied, that it seems most people can be too quick to place the Candida name on their illnesses. Your cat Misfit may not have Candida. It certainly seems as if your other cat may not. The symptoms of your other cat can be just about any condition.
Just want to say be careful and I would at least give the vets medication a chance first, then procede because most time we all will get worse before getting better. Remember the vets are better trained at treating animals than we are and taking the advice of people who have not diagnosed your animals may be a risk. Medications that may work for humans may be a risk for animals. Also moving out of your apartment is probably unessasary. I think your pets can certainly get better without you having to move. Sounds like their conditions are purely physical, not environmental.
Good luck and I am really wishing your pets well. Keep at it and don't give up. I will be praying for your cats.
