Re: Here's The Numbers
i agree that certain amounts of fruits may be OK. however, that would depend on the severity of someones condition and on the individual. The fruit actually can feed the beneficial microbes, but if someone has a severe imbalance that fructose will be taken by the candida most likely. there is no exact
Science to this, but there really doesn't have to be. our bodies tell us.
the way i play it is to watch my symptoms very closely. introduce new foods one at a time and monitor how i react to them
for instance many people argue that oats are fine for candida, others say oats are definitely not ok. i would have guessed they were ok, but for ME, they are not ok. everytime i eat them, my symptoms start to flare up, only slightly but it is noticeable. tested it 3 times, everytime the same thing. however i can eat all the brown rice i want without any problems.
introducing things one at a time is the way to go, but you have to be honest with yourself about it. often times we may want to eat a food so badly that we're in denial about it making our symptoms worse. anything you introduce to your body, your body will let you know if its ok or not. it's our responsibility to pay attention to what it's telling us.
of course there are the things that we cannot have no matter what, refined sugar, alcohol etc.. but thats a whole different story, we should know better.
