Re: foul smelling urine

The kidneys are responsible for excreting by-products of digestion that have a distinct smell, like organic sulphur which quite a few veggies have. So when you go on an anti-candida diet and increase your intake of veggies, it's common to notice the smell for the first time. Usually urine smells sweet because people eat the SAD which is rich in simple sugars, and this causes lots of insulin to be released, so you end up with sweet urine, which is not great actually.

You can also have stronger smelling urine if you're burning a lot of fat, resulting in more ketone bodies in the urine.

One thing that candida will do is cause foamy urine. If you ever have foamy urine and candida too you're okay, but if your candida is in balance and yet your urine is foamy you should get a physical because the foam means protein in the urine, which is not a good sign.

Frequent urination can be due to a lack of electrolytes, particularly magnesium. It is not a good sign to be urinating every 15 minutes!!! so see about replacing some electrolytes. EmergenC is my favorite way, plus the Cleansing Drink. Both are great ways to detox comfortably as they give the body what it needs to exit toxins and maintain healthy pH levels.
