Interesting Healing Tidbits

Just wanted to share a couple of interesting observations.

1) I decided to sneak a bit of liver support and probiotics into my husband's vitamin container. He has absolutely no signs of candida, he is slim, energetic, etc. But, he has recently developed a minor dandruff problem (he says - I never saw it)and his feet/socks have developed a horrendous odor (THAT I noticed!). They reeked (he does physical labor) and even with the hamper lid down I could smell 'em. I have put some probiotics and liver formula into his vits maybe 3x week for the past 2 weeks, and poof, no more odor. Not even a trace. I can put my nose right up to that smelly sock (not that I would. . . ) and not smell it. He must have had the beginnings of a fungal infection. And it is also intersting to me to see how swiftly effective these things are in an otherwise healthy body, and for me, it takes longer and more of it, etc.

2) Since I pinpointed Grapefruit-Seed-Extract as being a big allergen for me, and have gone off it, I "feel" as if my body has been tossing off some of the candida load, my theory being that the constant assault to my gut of the Grapefruit-Seed-Extract allergen kept leaky gut going strong, and thus candida alive and toxins circulating in spite of its antifungal properties. I did the spit test Saturday after being off the Grapefruit-Seed-Extract for the last 6 weeks (and on Ultra Clear liver cleanse last 2 weeks) and lo and behold it was MUCH better. I had always gotten lots of thick strings and this time I had NO strings, just a bit of cloudiness that lasted a few minutes then dissipated. So, I just want to put out there again that you need to be open about considering allergies to your supplements. What you think is die-off may in fact be an allergic reaction (that is what happened to me) and it was not until I switched to one that I was not allergic to could I tell the diference. What a toxic load off my body to have discovered that link, and I can eat more things now w/o reacting than I could before.
