Pev89: A week or so back you had posted a question on what foods to eat, and I don't know that anybody responded. Here's a good example of what to eat and avoid: Go straight to the "Food Chart For Candida Albicans Recovery Program" box down at the middle of this webpage:

As for cornbread, the answer would be no since its primary ingredient is refined wheat flour, just like white bread. By chance, I like cornbrean myself, and have been making it using rice, corn, or other non-wheat flour (always whole grain since fiber is cruicial to gut health) in lieu of the wheat flour. It tastes almost as good, if not just as good. Avoid any grain product which has substantial amounts of "flour" unless it specifically says "100% whole grain" or "stone ground" -- you need the fiber. And avoid the gluten grains -- certainly wheat and rye, and possibly a couple others -- since they often trigger allergic reactions with chronic candida.
