Re: The Beauty of Darwinism!
no. No one says the earth is 4000 years old. It is aprx 6000.
Let me give you a brief timeline.
6000-4000 years ago...Creation, Sin enters the world though 1 man's freewill choice, Man is on a downward spiral of spiritual corruption, God chooses 8 people to survive as He cleanses the earth with a worldwide Flood (known as Noah's Flood)-----please note here, on the highest mountaintops of the world, marinelife fossiles are found. This is good evidence of the flood. Also before the flood, man lived much longer, so did the animals. This was because of a different atmostphere. It never rained before the flood. All of this information can be found in the first book of the Bible, Genesis Chapters 1-6
4000-2000 years ago...mankind continues in it's own path, each person choices for himself what choices he makes in his own life. God brings about propheses for the Saviour of the world to come and save mankind
2000 years ago...Jesus Christ the Son of God comes to earth. God's plan is in motion. Jesus shed his blood and suffered so we don't have to pay for our sins. He took the sins for us...all you have to do is believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is the Son of God and your sins are forgiven (Romans Chapt 8 and Chapt 10 verse 9...found in the New Testement)
2000 years ago to present...waiting for Christ's return when in a twinkling of an eye those that believe in Him will be lifted into the air. This is called the rapture, those who do not believe in Jesus and confess them as thier Lord and Saviour will remain here on earth.(2nd Peter Chapter 3)
After the rapture...a time that will be the worst in history which will be broken only by when Christ comes to do the final battle with the devil. result...a new heaven and a new earth.(Revelations Chapters 21 and 22)
Q-Wouldn't it prove the Bible to be true if it accounts for about 6000 years of history and no other historical evidence points to any time prior to that?
Q-If Noah's Flood is not real, then why does almost every culture in the world account for some sort of worldwide flood, whereby only 1 family was saved in a boat?
