Update on Katrina

Well, here we are 6 months later and if you were to go to the Mississippi Gulf Coast today, you would see that little has been done. The insurance companies have all but halted any progress that had begun. So many people have filed lawsuits against them, (and how can blame these poor people???) so the insurance companies have dug in their heels and are doing absolutely nothing................

So, what does that mean for these people? Most of them are STILL sleeping in tents on the cold ground. Think about it! Before Katrina, they had nice homes, electricity, water, vehicles, etc. Now..........NOTHING. Look around your nice home and think what you would do if you had to live in a tent.

State Farm Insurance has yet to even try and bring an offer to the apartment complex my company has............Six months later.

In Hope, Arkansas, there are 35,000 FEMA trailers just sitting. Why? You tell me. The tent people could use them. In fact, they could have used them six months ago...............................

Several towns are thinking about doing the unthinkable and combining towns because they have lost so many people.

There are still over 3,000 people that are unaccounted for.......Putting that in perspective, look at your precious husband, child, parent and think one of those 3,000 could be a loved one of yours. How would you react?

Along the Alabama Gulf Coast, you have heard little, but they were hit hard, too.

ALl of the Katrina disaster is NOT just about New Orleans. In fact, we all get sick to our stomachs every time we see the Mayor and Governor of La. speak! They are worthless and useless. The only difference is that Mississippi and Alabama are NOT whining, blaming and pointing fingers. In fact, we are in the middle of Mardi Gras down here having a LARGE time. Come join us!
