When you get to southern Alabama, be sure and go to Bayou LaBatree, Alabama. 80% of the town was wiped out by Katrina and NOTHING has been on the news about this area. They are in desperate need of ANYTHING! Keep in mind this is FIVE months after Katrina and people still do not have places to live.

Myself, I will be heading to Pascagoula the first week in March to help out for a weekend. I had been focusing on Gulfport, but I have some friends who are headed to Pascagoula and I told them I would help, too.

Just make sure where ever you go that you have a place to stay. Plan before you arrive.
