Re: Relief workers confront 'urban warfare'

I totally agree with you boldylox.. I saw a broadcast that said 70 buses were taking the folks from the superdome in new orleans to the astrodome in Texas. I don't understand if they could get 70, why not 500 buses to get thos e people out of there. President Bush should have preempted all of the tv stations to say that convoys would be evacuating these people and if he needed buses from neighboring states then the bus systm in that state would be put on hold for the day. I know the american people would have responded. we all want to help, but don;t know how. these people needed immediate action! my God.. he could have used Air force one to get the people out by plane... the airport is functioning. He could have made one call to the head of UPS and gotten planes in there and just told everyone we would have to wait a few extra days for pur packeages! America would have said fine... we will wait. I am appalled. I guess Entertainment Tonight is too important for the President to preempt. where is the leadership?

be well,
healing
