I will emphasize that it will take time to get your system balanced, so whatever you opt to do, you will have to be patient and persistent. Frequent changes will not speed the progress.

While I am not big on prescriptions, many people have successfully incorporated thyroid hormone with supplements. Whether to go with Synthroid(synthetic) or Armour(animal-based) should be researched by you, and discussed with your doctor. Everyone handles this issue a bit differently. Also, you will want to be monitored frequently if you opt to use hormones as the supplements will help your system normalize which will require changes in your prescription, possibly frequently.
