Interesting post!
#37847,I see your post 2 ways. Either you are a 'believer' and condemning me for my posting here, or you are one sans religion testing me to see if I'll break into the hellfire and brimstone routine. I will address this post as if you were the former, a condmening christian.
How are you going to show people the love of Christ if you can't relate with them? I am trying to get on the same page with all people as Christ did, except for the religous right he lashed out against. In doing so, I believe that people who would not normally listen to anything a 'born agian' had to say, I know they will hear what I suggest.
What kind of seed are you planting? Do you believe that God loves you more than his lost? Do you believe he would 'leave the flock to go help the one lamb' who is stuck in the rocks? Do you believe it is out of Love that Christ died? Are you mad at everyone who challenges your thinking?
I bet you also didn't think about the fact that Westerners have completely mishandled the true Eastern Religion that Christianity started out to be. Westerners have shaped and molded it to mean everything that they want it to mean.
I am so sorry to hear the lack of compassion in your post.
Why are you afraid to help people see the reason to accept Christ's teachings? That it is not merely for 'fire insurance' but out of Love that Christ wants us to join him?
Also, as for the trite statement 'too bad we're gonna burn in eternal agony, right Sara?' as for that statement, did you ask me whether I believed and followed the teachings of Christ? did you ask me anything?
If you are the latter, someone testing my motives, will she stay the way she says, or fall back down into all the stereotypes: if that is your point, I hope in the time to come, I can help you see my heart.
