sorry if i rippled the smooth waters a bit... but you must admit this does seem a bit familiar doesn't it... a little deja vu... (like been there done that type thing)... if you can recall whenever "grog" first opened an "alcoholism support forum"... he had intentions of it being used only for alternative methods... seems he had tried AA and found it inadequate (for his tastes) at solving his problem... and would become very irate any time anyone even mentioned AA... it was he/grog that separated the two... so that we now have two forums... we have an

"ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS AA SUPPORT FORUM"...

and also (for those that think AA is a bunch of "mumbo jumbo") there is the forum for

"ALTERNATIVE ALCOHOL ADDICTION SUPPORT"...

so i've taken the liberty of posting the alternative link below... and believe me you have my blessings if that is the route you wish to take... but "i for one" am perfectly happy and content with what i have found in "AA"... i have worked for it and it has worked for me for over 14 years... (that is all the proof i need)... but if what you are looking for/want is the quick fix then maybe you should try kudzu... or maybe just drinking near beer... or what ever seems to work best for you...

"ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS" is a design for living... it is not necessarily for those that need it... there are millions out there that need it... but truth is they don't want it... and it will only work for those that want it... and are willing to go to any length to get it... all you have to do is keep and open mind... go to meetings... read the book... get a sponsor... and you too will discover that God will do for you what you could not do for yourself...
