Re: Poverty....How to embrace poverty!

I am poor and suffering greatly, but I am happy because I have God and Jesus. I advocate for those who need advocated for and I have to apply for food stamps and medical assistance. I did not make a visit, I have lived like this since 2001. I go where people have much and try to keep my integrity, but also try to raise consciousness. It is very difficult to once have had and now lost everything. These circumstances have helped me advocate for the mentally ill and those that feel like they can not participate in church and other things because they have not. I don't know how God is using me, but I do have the ability to speak and proclaim what sometimes others feel less comfortable doing. I consider it an honor to be poor and in need. It helps others see there is a world besides their own.
