It's a matter of perception (!)


I have been searching, researching, experimenting for years in hopes of reducing my condition of floaters and I must conclude that nothing has really helped. Following a strict nutritional and Kidney/Liver protocol has seemed to help them stabilize though which I highly recommend.

Anyone else suffering my find some relief in this exercise. It sounds a little silly, but please bear with me..

Exercise number 1:

Lay down in a bed, on a couch, etc, in a well lit bright room which is normally an environment of floater_annoyance.

Now, find some object to look at be it a speck on the wall, a telephone pole outside, something straight ahead in your vision.

Stare at it. Do not move your eyes or head at all.

Keep staring. (of course, you can blink)

If done correctly, what you will notice is that the floaters disappear! They are both not moving anymore AND getting 'assimilated' into your visual cortex. This is similar to what happens with the blind spot which is a gaping hole in your vision at all times but the brain tricks you into not seeing it..

Now, stay in this position for a while. Keep looking at your object. Now we will bring a few of them out to play:

With your head stationary, only move your eyes. Look to the side really quick and then back forward at your object. Basically: Wiggle your eyes really quick then stop them again and look forward.

Do you see them???

FLOATERS ARE THE RESULT OF THE ANGULAR MOMENTUM OF THE EYEBALL!

This may not seem like a very big deal but when I discovered it, it helped me A LOT. My condition is very bad and at times when I am most frustrated about it, I simply SLOW DOWN and keep my eyes/head calm.. and go into a kind of SLO MO mode..

You can do this same exercise while walking around. Is it actually more the EYE then the movement of the HEAD which causes them to be observed. For instance, if you keep the eye looking forward and move the head to the side to look at something, they are virtually non-existent.

Exercise number 2:

Take your sunglasses off while walking around in your neighborhood which you should do often for your health! ;)

Focus on a stop sign or something else of that size a few blocks away. (It will be very small)

Keep your eyes on it, not moving, and walk toward it. (It will become bigger)

Are you seeing them? If done correctly with the eyeball not moving, they should again settle and/or disappear.

As you get closer to the stop sign, keep following it with your eye facing forward, meaning, slowly turn your head to look at it when you walk past. This is another example of how moving the HEAD is not what causes them to appear, it is the eyeball.

Another exercise I do is to try and pretend that I cannot move my eyes and that they are always locked in one place. So I turn my head to look at things, etc.

Morbid, but kind of like acting as I am a cadaver with eyes always facing forward, etc. Act like you are a zombie come to life and you can not yet move your eyeballs! haha


Anyway, though I admit this is not helpful in the way many want, it has profoundly affected my condition. I'm at a point where I do not even need to wear sunglasses very often. I still do to protect my eyes of course, but I was wearing them so often due to floaters that I had raccoon patches!

Give this a try and remember, It is the ANGULAR MOMENTUM of the EYEBALL which causes this headache within your reality.

Slow it down! Make it meditative. Add some breath work too!
