Download and try another web browser to see if the web pages also freeze up. If they do, then you likely have a hardware problem, likely related to your video card. If the web pages don't freeze up when you use another web browser, then the problem is with the web browser that you are/were using. Likely some web browser files may have become corrupted. The solution then would be to try and uninstall and reinstall the web browser or abandon it for another. There are many alternatives out there: Maxthon, Mozilla FireFox, etc.,

Also, the other thing you may try is a complete format and reinstallation of the operating system cause it is quite possible that more files, other than just your web browser files may have become corrupt, which will likely cause you problems down the line.
