I'm through with pills, patches: What now?!?
I was on the pill during college. I stopped to get pregnant, then I was on a different pill while breastfeeding, then switched to the patch for another year.
A month ago I decided I couldn't stand the idea of pumping hormones into my body anymore, so I am not on anything now.
I'm supposed to feel better, right?
Instead, I have headaches, multiple pains (symptoms similar to pancreas-related ailments), light-headedness, depression, panic attacks, confusion, I am gaining weight and I want to sleep and am thirsty all the time! (To be fair, headaches and nausea were a major reason I stopped the hormones, so they're nothing new.)
The last time I went off the Pill I didn't feel any differently. Could it be because I am now in my late 20s and have borne a child? Or is there something else wrong with me?
**Has anyone else experienced this? What do I do now?**
I will probably end up seeing a conventional doctor shortly, but I am afraid s/he'll just put me on zoloft or something. I am through with drugs, even caffeine and alcohol. (And I stopped everything within a month, so maybe my body is confused! LOL)
Thank you for your support!
