Parts for Zapper, Rife, Beck, etc.
I'm posting this message in Zapper Support, in Dr
Clark Debate , and in Facts
Science Debate.
A big problem for most people trying to build a Zapper, Syncrometer, Rife device, Beck device, or whatever is getting the parts. Radio Shack's selection is very small, and the prices are very high. Here is a great alternative, if you don't intimidate easily.
Mouser (www.mouser.com) started as a surplus dealer and grew up into a full blown industrial electronics distributor. Unlike Hosfelt, Jameco, and Digi-Key, Mouser remembers it roots, and still has no minimum order, no handling fees, and will sell to the general public with a credit card. They are my favorite for projects like these. Even with shipping, the parts for a typical Zapper project can be half that of Radio Shack.
They really shine if you want to build more than one of something. For example, a single resistor from RS is 99 cents. From Mouser, the minimum quantity for an equivalent part is 10 pieces, but they cost only 7 cents each. So even if you need only one piece, it is a better deal. If you need 2 or 3, it's a great deal. Similar savings apply to capacitors. Mouser sells the chips in ones, so things are even better there. LM555: RS - $1.49 Mouser - $0.35
The intimidating part is the size of their inventory, and their inability to do much handholding. If you want a 1K resistor for the output of a Zapper, Mouser has over a dozen different types to choose from. But there is help available here. I will be glad to convert the parts list for whatever design into a Mouser order list.
For the record, I have absolutely no association or affiliation with Mouser other than being a satisfied customer, both personally and professionally, for 20 years.
