Re: Starting Day One over Please I need Help and Advice
You have so much on your plate , I hope I can help with some advise and caring.
First of all your condition. Though there is no known 'total' cure, you may find solice in the
Master-Cleanse and a naturopathic course. Pain killers are virutally a way of life for you and cleansing is an excellent way to assist your body in dealing with the abundance of chemicals,it will really help you.
I advised a previous post of a great naturapathic Dr. Have you gone that route?
I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. 39 is way too young , yet he left you the blessing of a wake up call and you have answered.
I live and work in Hawaii and other than typing away on the laptop, I work outside tending our land...coffee, fruit,nuts,veggies,etc...it's hot...about 90, so I can identify w/you. Plus I did the L.A. scene for 25 years. Ah, the pizza at 'Italy's
Little Kitchen at manchester and lincoln!
My opinion dictates that you should drink up , always making your lemonade full strength(2+2). Resting BEFORE you need to ,i.e., take those 15 minute breaks the 'law' allows you, hah.
I'd start w/ a week. I'd suggest more, yet I know that right now you are in the frying pan with the oddball heat spell...Thank God that globlal warming thing is just a figment of the the 'people's' imagination! hah
Don't push it your first time around.
Remember to drink up...make sure you leave home with a hefty supply of provisions!
As for the physical pain issue, since you want to do it w/out the pain pills, I don't think it would be totally illegal for you to have some Dong Quai tea.
You have the good fortune of having probably the best source for natural herbs in the country. I don't know everything about your situation and / or condition, so I would advise you to take a field trip to Chinatown and befriend a good chinese herb pharmacist! OR THREE! Second opinions=good thing! Dong Quai thins/cleanses the blood and in many cases, eases menstral discomfort. A few cups a day could possibly help. At the same time, ridding yourself of the toxins you have built up will definitely assist your body to better deal w/the pain naturally. The glands will be happy for the detox break and reward you with peace the best way it can, naturally.
I sense you have a handle on your emotional situation better than you give yourself credit for. Night time is an easy time to crack when there are no distractions from work, freeway driving or phones ringing...you end up with just yourself and sometimes that reality is tough to handle , especially though all you are dealing with. Yet if you can make it for a day w/out 'cracking', you surely can make it through the night.
Life is radical, and sometimes has to be dealt with in a radical way.
When I am hitting bottom, a leap up from wherever I am and throw water in my face, I'm not kidding ... or I jump in the ocean, take an ice cold shower, walk ,drive,etc...
I stated in a previous post that us humans are really simple minded, and can only think of one thing at a time. Though I'm not a proponent of sweeping problems under the rug, I do believe that some times we are stronger than others and that overwhelment should not always be dealt with when overwhelmed. We do have to 'deal' w/grief and pain eventually to be free and healthy spiritually and physically, and the secret that works for me is this...I see most people concentrating their energy on pushing grief and pain away, away from their heart. Try taking it in and embracing it rather that repelling , it's not a fight...
Here is a nice link to assist you in doing that...everyone could benefit!

Dealing w/grief really sucks...but it works. Not just for the death of a loved one, yet for the grief and loss in all of our life. The loss of a relationship, even the loss of our youth. If we don't deal with our grief , we hold it in and eventually the body suffers.
There is a light !
Life is so wonderful, through the pain and the joy,the helping and the caring of others, projecting your being unto others and helping them get through what everyone on Earth is feeling and experiencing. We are all in this together I share in your pain and grief,as most of us do,so you are never alone.
Do your cleanse, safely and follow your heart ...
