Re: day 2 --headache!!!

My worst day is usually the 2nd day although I have now cleansed so much my last cleanse of 30 days was a breeze. Of course, the 7 days pre-cleanse it took to go through caffeine withdrawal was the most difficult for me!

Most people feel the first 5 days are the roughest. It does get better. Part of me thinks you begin detoxing the moment you buy your bag of lemons! :)

My trick for getting in the water is putting out my required amount for the day on the table. If I go pee, liquid out, liquid in. If I am driving, the rule for me during a cleanse, a drink of water at every red light! I eye my water and commit to getting it in since cleansing is not the biggest thrill of my life anyway so if I can maximize its efficiacy by getting in enough water, thats a goal I can kick around and drink up.

It only takes a few times of downing the water at the end of the day and getting up at night to pee more than once for me to space my water out. I do real well too setting out two glasses, one for water, one for the lemonade and I just keep the water one filled. I sip away and before you know it, your body no long feels uncomfortable like it is sloshing around and once you are fully hydrated, since thirst is not a good indicator of dehydration, you will feel so much better that the habit becomes one you want to continue.

I can hardly believe I am saying this, but I now prefer water over beer. I drink beer still for company but at night by myself, when I would previously go for some wine or beer, I go for water or an herbal tea. After so much cleansing, it seems I am more aware of how treating my body better will come first and my inner hippie desire for the alcohol buzz has become third or fourth on my list of things I desire.
