I suggest you delve into the book that Zoe posted and evaluate what you are doing and how. It is much easier when you have an understanding.

As a first timer , realize your body is experiencing a foreign process...cleaning.

You may have been using too much salt,lemon, wrong Maple, etc.

Once you get the formula right you should have a better experience.

Gutsy to take it on , yet please do it right. It's hard to decypher what's right doing it blind .

read up and I'm sure you will ease into it better.
