Re: Any illnesses cured?? Curious
COPD=chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Years ago I was a smoker from age of 14 on up gradually increasing the amount I smoked with each time I tried to quit At the age of 37 I had CHF congested heart failure. The doctor told me I had to quit. I did quit after the last five cigarettes in the pack. That was in 1982 Than in 1993there was a fire in the apartment building I was living in, everyone was evacuating it. There was a women upstairs everyone was ignoring her. So I, two weeks out of the hospital went up to see what I can do to help her. She got one little boy out of the apartment and had to go in for the other one(that was the apartment on fire) I was weak I sat on top step to rest a minute, and the little boy tried to follow her back in I told her give him to me, she did, she went back in, I went down the stairs with him crying in my arms, one by one. Mom passed me on steps got her other child out to ambulance came back in, I handed her her son and I went outside. In doing this, My lungs were damaged from smoke inhalation, after a few days I was fine, never thought much about it. Than in 1998 I starting working part time in a donut shop, and inhaling the flour took affect on my lungs and I got weakened and thought I had another bout with bronchitis, My breathing capability was down to 79% and to function normally you need to be at 92%-100% oxygen in your lungs. I went to hospital came home with hospital bed, oxygen tanks, concentrator, and lined up for home health care daily.
I felt like I was in the hospital at home.
I know this is a long explanation but just wanted everyone to know after I quit smoking my lungs got damaged two more times, and all this helped. I am blessed. Continue your path to good health, search all knowledge available to you and eat healthy and exercise. I started with tighting each muscle for 5 second and releasing it, and went on from there. Every little bit helps. Think young, think fun, dancing, playing catch, walking Good Luck.
