Re: please help..
A word of advice: The timing of a fast is never convenient. On Jan 2, 2006 when I started my mother looked at me and asked 'Why now?' and then I explained to her that there are always a million reasons why you CAN postpone a fast and that the timing will never be ideal.
My mother understood and stood by my side (especially emotionally) during the entire time. She kept me motivated throughout. It was hard at times but in general I managed pretty well. In reference to cooking for others: on a very small scale I understand how you feel, as eventhough I live by myself I have a dog I cook for every morning and evening. After the third day it no longer bothered me.
Another thing is that you need to motivate yourself. Being negative is going to make this whole fast pointless. You will feel better, however most of the time it's also a matter of changing and adjusting the diet afterwards. If you ate unhealthy to begin with and decide to continue after the fast then the effects of the fast will only be very short term.
You need to make a general decision of what you want in life. Obviously you are sick of going to doctors and are willing to give this a try. Stick with it and you will feel better. A fast is not a solve-all, however it's a commitment to better health and with that happiness.
Good luck!
PS. I'm on day 25 now and feeling great! I swapped over to juices on day 17 at night.
