Wow, I read your post and I felt like I could have been writing it. I've done this 4 times as well in the last year. I don't think it's too much, and I don't think you can hurt yourself doing this even once a month!
I've been eating and drinking a lot through the holidays too. I packed on 5 pounds since October, and I had no idea of what to do! I'm a runner, and I haven't put a solid run in for 2 weeks. No motivation, just disgust with myself. I'm cleansing now to start the losing process and get through this mental rut!
