The USA as a simple example---for thousands, etc. of years, all the evidence was that humans, lived in groups and their tools were made from wood and stones...and that was LONG after the last ice age, LONG LONG AFTER the USA rose up off the bottom of the ocean and LONG LONG after the last asteroids covered the earth every X amount of years, forming layers of asteroids below your feet...
