Recently, I read that pyruvate eyedrops have been used as an "ocular penetration agent" to treat some eye conditions. This suggests that pyruvate could be used as a vehicle for rosmarinic acid to treat cataract.
Moreover, pyruvate alone is reported to prevent experimental cataracts, due either to UV radiation or diabetes. This could be a great combination. However, pyruvate eyedrops are apparently not
commercially available.
