New Here -- Unable to Confirm Email or See Posts Newer than 6 years Old

Hello, I am new here. I am unable to confirm my email and the help link / email to seen doesn't seem to work either. Also, I don't see any new posts... most all posts are 6 years and older... I have not seen a single post more recent. Is this cause I have not confirmed my email? Can anyone help with these items? Would greatly appreciate it.
