Re: hydrogen peroxide for enemas?

I know this thread is very old, however if you find yourself in a situation like mine, I wanted to give some tips on quickly recovering from accidental hydrogen peroxide enemas.

I always clean my enema tube with store bought 3% peroxide and always drain it all before putting it away. However, this morning I went to do a salt water enema to help with constipation. I didn't realize I'd forgotten to drain the peroxide from the last time I used and cleaned my kit. I accidentally took probably the equivalent of 1/4-1/2 cup of peroxide, and then just a small amount of salt water but I could not take all of it since it immediately began burning and I couldn't hold my enema at all. I went to the bathroom, got the worse pains, was bleeding and felt like something was fizzy inside of me. For several hours after, I was in terrible pains. Broke out in cold sweats, blood came out every time I tried to use the bathroom.

I decided to take ginger pills and fresh aloe blended with juice. This made things worse and I'm not exaggerating when I say I thought I was dying (and I've had 3 unmedicated, very painful, childbirths in my life) my husband almost called 911. He kept telling me to do a water enema but I was afraid it would make it all worse somehow. I couldn't take ibuprofen either because I am also pregnant. I finally agreed to the water enema before calling 911. The second I did the plain water enema, I found instant relief! I did several after, trying to hold them longer each time, and it got better each time. The bleeding subsided significantly too. I'm still a bit sore, but I am now 90% better than I was. My husband also had me drink a hydration solution of 1 tsp salt mixed with 6 tsps Sugar in a quart of water, and that was also helpful after the water enema.

So if you find yourself in my situation and you are scouring the internet for any solutions, the water enema + hydration solution + anti inflammatories are probably your best bet!
