Could it Be Pinworms?

Is itching really part of this?

Hi all! Throwaway obviously. I’m 26F and around mid-October I started seeing blood in the bowl when I went to the bathroom. This went on for a few days so I went to the ER and they said I had a fissure. Weirdly enough though it has been COMPLETELY PAINLESS. They sent me home with stool softeners and I was careful with my diet for the next few weeks. Things weren’t totally improving so I booked a follow up with a CRS for beginning of November but they cancelled on me and now my appt is December 13.

Around mid-November the blood was less and less until finally there was none in the bowl and only a minimal amount from me obsessively wiping to keep it clean and prevent infection.

Fast forward to end of November there has been some itching. It’s not a constant itch and it’s random times throughout the day… It’s more of a twinge than anything. Now my OCD brain has convinced myself that I could have pinworms even though I have been checking religiously every night and checking my stool and haven’t found a single worm. The itching doesn’t get worse at night or keep me up. It’s just random sporadic twinges. I took OTC pinworm medication last week but the itching is still here. What are the odds I’d contract a pinworm infection just as my supposed fissures were healing?? The internet is making me crazy though.

TLDR: Internet is saying I have pinworms. Haven’t seen a worm. Itching is not constant, doesn’t get worse at night, and started when I stopped seeing blood from my fissure. Is healing part of the deal??
