crows

Black common crows are extremely smart---they outsmart most that try to hunt them.

LONG AGO pre plastic toys---country boys would search deep in the woods for the evasive crow's nest of babies... I have walked woods for many many years and I have never ever found a crow's nest---they understand that the human is their greatest enemy besides large predator birds.

Back many years ago, country people enjoyed having a pet crow for 1 particular reason------THEY CAN TALK to humans.................FOR REAL and that is why gov for a very very long time, will throw you in prison if they catch you with a crow.....they own all the wild crows, (they think they own everything).

When my dad was young, it was common to see someone with a pet crow as a "friend"-toy...before the days of TV/RADIO and the such....

They would find and climb the tree where there was a crow nest---take the eggs or baby crow and the trick was to cut the skin on the bottom side of the tongue.......do that and that baby grow will grow up talking 100% like the rest of the family living inside a house------I WOULD ASSUME you never have more than 1 crow, that way they only know 1 language.

The last house crow I seen was a fellow employee had a very "reclusive" mom and dad that adopted him........he grew up with the family crow. I have no idea how many years old that crow was, but he was very old and he talked perfect english....there is a good chance that the reason the couple were so reclusive is because they never wanted any stranger to ever know they had a talking crow.....something that can land you in federal prison. The mother, she never left the house ever---she never went to town, never went to stores, never purchased food---her husband did it all............she was content to live in the house with the adopted boys and the crow...

When the old man died---his wife had no clue how to go to town, never drove a car, never handled $$$---her boys had to take over and obtain her food and needs...........but the poor crow, he missed the old man, what he would have assumed to be his father..................when anyone walked in the front door---that crow would scream that man's name, calling him!!!!! Wishing that the man would come home....that crow badly missed the old man. That crow would carry a conversation on so perfectly, that until you walked into his room----you would swear you were talking to a fellow human......

Crows are meat eaters-----if you fall down dead, they will pick your bones clean. They MATE for life----if 1 crow is harmed and can not fly--its mate will stay by its side.....I once found a crow in a trap and the fellow crow was beside it....the trapped crow had a broken leg, but after I let it free, it managed to fly and flew away.......

One of the greatest pets in all of human history, would be the common wild crow----very poor people use to hunt and eat them....YET, since before I was born, it has been illegal to own a wild crow. There is a hunting season on crows-----YOU CAN BLOW THEIR HEAD OFF with a shotgun----but dare not raise one as a pet and if you cut the bottom of their tongue so the tongue is "free', that crow, if it is a baby, can grow up as your friend that understands what your saying and can speak more clear than joey speaks......

Who is smarter? The crow or the girl holding the crow??? This is not a common black wild crow---he surely does not have his tongue cut----yet he demonstrates he is no dummy and yes he can TALK----but he is not raised from a baby inside a human home---thinking that he is a HUMAN......he KNOWS there is more to life than just the inside of a house......he knows other birds exist, etc.......

"IF" this girl really understood how smart a crow can be----she would realize the crow is PUNKING HER....he probably thinks that she is his pet.
