Re: Insomnia Causes

Insomnia is a condition where the patient fails to fall or stay asleep through the night. The problem can be acute or chronic based on the duration it affects the patient. While acute insomnia can last from one night to a few weeks, chronic insomnia occurs at least three nights a week for three or more months. The primary causes of insomnia are stress, changes in sleep schedule (jet lag, new shift at work, or bad habits), mental health conditions, and medication. To treat this problem, patients are advised to try cognitive behavioural therapy, improve sleep habits, and take medication.
