Re: Saturated fats are not bad

Saturated fat is a kind of fat found in the diet. Along with Trans-fat, it is one of the harmful fats. At room temperature, these lipids are usually solid. Saturated fat is found in butter, palm and coconut oils, cheese, and red meat. A diet high in saturated fat can contribute to heart disease and other health issues. The majority of foods include a mixture of fats.
You should eat foods high in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, which are healthy. At room temperature, these lipids are usually liquid.

• Fats should account for no more than 25% to 30% of your daily calorie intake.
• Limit saturated fats to fewer than 7% of your total daily calories to further lower your risk of heart disease.
• If you have heart disease or high cholesterol, your doctor may advise you to reduce saturated fat consumption further.
