Lemon juice and baking soda

Hello,
I’m new here and wasn’t quite sure where to post this question as I didn’t see a specific forum for it and was hoping someone could help me answer it.

I need to up my vitamin c but can’t take ascorbic acid powder as I have a very bad reaction. I can have food tho. I wanted to try lemon juice but all the acid is an issue. I’ve read about mixing it with bicarbonate to neutralize the ph but I wondered, doesn’t that destroy or oxidize the vitamin c? Or does it become sodium ascorate?

I just want to be sure the vitamin c is still usable by the body and not destroyed by the chemical reaction as I thought vity c was destroyed by heat, oxygen, light etc

Thanks
