Successfully regenerated scar with Lugols? Correct application?
Hello,
I'm looking for people who have successfully regenerated a scar with Lugols.
I've started the treatment of a facial scar because of the research of David M. Derry
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/19168293/
Unfortunately, my progress looks different than David Derry described.
I've started the treatment about 3 months ago. I have to add that I didn’t apply it daily for all the time. Nevertheless, I’ve tried to apply it as often as possible, preferably before bedtime.
I apply it on to the scar wait 2-3 minutes and then cover it with a plastic wrap overnight.
A scab does form after 2 days or so, but unfortunately it always falls off after 3-4 days.
I've not seen the yellow "regeneration material" which David Derry described.
I noticed that on scars other than the face, I did a short experiment with a scar on my leg, the scab does last much longer. I guess it's because it's more protected from air etc.
But for obvious reasons I cannot cover my face with a plastic wrap all day.
So maybe someone has own experiences and can help me finding the most efficient way since I’m a bit lost right now?
