I had a bout with demodex about a year ago. I found a forum somewhere which listed all kinds of individual efforts to rid the critters. Nothing I tried worked. Went to doctor who gave me something which also didn't work. I used the products online, such as Cliradex etc. I finally started using3/4 tsp boric acid dissolved in one cup of hot water and allowed to cool in an eyecup. It only takes just enough water to rinse the lash area (for me, maybe others might have a more serious contagion) and results were immediate. I don't remember how long I continued, I would guess at least a week as the lashes became cleaner and cleaner and the infestation died away. Please research boric acid for yourself as I would imagine the medical pros will tell you horror stories, but it has an alternative, curative history and I had NO problems. I wish I could find that original forum to let them know as the sufferers were in the 1000's it seemed and was claimed in there that almost everyone over 70 has them. I hope this helps someone.
