I am fully aware of what the protestant church says that "Catholic" means. However, for me personally, it means Roman Catholic, and so I can not in good conscience state that I "believe" in it, knowing full well that the RCC believes itself to be "The" Universal Church.
I do however understand and agree that there is a type of universal church that is an accumulation of all God's people. I just balk at having to state that I "believe" in it, not knowing how that wording will be used at some future date. I believe in God...I believe in Jesus...I believe in the Holy Spirit. In good conscience I can say that. :)
However, "I do not consent" to your personal idea of what universal means trapper. You Universalist.
