Re: Trinitarians vs. Unitarians debate
you have run away at breakneck speed from all of my posts. its the reason we are having so much trouble right now because there is so much unfinished business. this is probably how you keep one step ahead of all the truth you cant stomach. its called denial and you use that and a host of other mechanisms for subverting the conversation and manipulatiing it in other directions.
let me see if there is something worth responding to.
refreshed: "you try and "teach" me"
there you go again, distancing and demeaning what i am saying. i havent tried to do anything. i have told you that youre wrong and how. THOSE are two different things. im not recruiting. im correcting. you can accept it or not. im not into a war of words like you and the other gals are on there. thats the guile. clever monkeys thinking they are so clever. no cunning is gonna work with me. im straight forward so no cunning is necessary. its just silly. youre passive/aggressive about it, pretending its not so. vekky loves the game, as does others to a lesser degree. they can win all they want. my game is finished before i start. with scripture, i always win. you, on the other hand, pick and choose and ignore and twist. you dont appear to me to be looking for the truth. how can you with your fingers in your ears and your eyes closed tight?
refreshed: "each piece of deception"
well, thats some big reveal, eh? youre the one deceived. of course what i say sounds in error to you. thats squarely in your lap. and btw, thats not discernment. thats prejudgement. you see, ii have considered everything you believe. you refuse to consider what i am telling you by discounting it up front. wasnt it that worldly demigod jew einstein who said condemnation without investigation is the height of ignorance? something like that.
refreshed: "The problem is the understanding of the "words" being used."
see, you can be logical. defining ones terms is important. you refuse that from me as well. you consider it some sort of attempt of mine at teaching but im considering that im already talking to someone well versed in scripture. at least enough that what i say should should make a modicum of sense. but i get more games, more twisting, more teeheeing, etc. its not adult behaviour. anyway, you can see the problem but what are you willing to do about it? act like a 3 year old and use it to your advantage, i guess.
refreshed: "I discern your lack of understanding of scripture,"
yea, right. youre not judging. (sighs and rolls eyes) frankly i wouldnt mind if you did. the problem is its not righteous (just). youre not treating me the way you want to be treated. perhaps youre thinking thats what youre doing by continuing this conversation when everyone else considers what i have to say of no value and unworthy of response. i like that, too. i know where i stand. good luck to em. back to your "discernment". thats not what that is. thats you seeing the difference between what you believe and what i believe. i have not taken a stand and said that every word i say is god breathed. i post scripture that i know is god breathed. but i can err like anyone else. ARE YOU SAYING YOU ARE INERRENT? you dont like the way i see scriptures, maybe thats because youre seeing them all wrong. ever thought of that? or is that impossible? your like a trump with your religion. you claim to be an outsider yet there you are presiding over that very system you say you are not a part of. delusion much? well, yes, of course you do because you swallow that heresy known as the trinity. all through the bible it says there is one god, the father, and his annointed son jesus christ. what do you need more for? it is clear that this is a damning fallacy that condemns the believer to a dead end. its not congruent with anything jesus ever said.
but you wont hear that. or consider or discuss it. did you follow my conversation with livinginthespirit here? it was about bible inerrancy. just like daniel said, information has increased on the bible. that its been fooled with is the conclusion that anyone who has studied the subject at all. if you wanna exercise your discernment there is a good place to start.
https://www.biblicalarchaeology.org/daily/biblical-topics/new-testament/the-strange-ending-of-the-gospel-of-mark-and-why-it-makes-all-the-difference/
"This original ending of Mark was viewed by later Christians as so deficient that not only was Mark placed second in order in the New Testament, but various endings were added by editors and copyists in some manuscripts to try to remedy things. The longest concocted ending, which became Mark 16:9-19, became so treasured that it was included in the King James Version of the Bible, favored for the past 500 years by Protestants, as well as translations of the Latin Vulgate, used by Catholics. This meant that for countless millions of Christians it became sacred scripture–but it is patently bogus."
you catch that? bogus. you have bogus scripture verses in your bible. this means that just because some authority somewhere down the line authorized its use, it aint god breathed. and if there is one theres more. discern that.
i dont see a big problem with the end of matthew, the ONE and ONLY place that the father, son and holy spirit are mentioned in the same sentence. its understanding what is said that counts. and when the bible is so careful to provide multiple witnesses for the most important facts and doctlrines, one mention at the end of one gospel should not an entire theology make. especially when everything else contradicts that notion. and i already told you what jesus was talking about there. i told you the word for "name" means authority. whats the authority of the father? he is the creator of all. what is the authority of the son? the father has given over authority to him. whats the authority of the holy ghost? the holy ghost is that part of the father which dwells in people and imparts sonship. all are necessary to do what jesus was also commanding at this time - to make disciples of all nations and baptise them and teach them to observe the commandments. that was the point, not some weird tangent like a triune god.
i dont have a lack of understanding, i have an abundance of understanding, which is a bane to me because it makes me that much more responsible, both personally to the lord and to others as well.
refreshed: "done for show"
nope. i dont do nuthin for show.
refreshed: "a matter of lack of trust"
and here is your lack of faith. what kind of a relationship do you have with the father? what are you asking him for. did you ask for someone you couldnt trust? dont be paranoid. trust god and believe him. you dont have to trust me one bit. im not your god. straightn it out with him.
Luke 11:10-12 Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? 12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?
