Re: Diet and herbs

Hi MH,

Thanks - that makes my day!

This student is listening plus I’ve spent a lot of time reading the old books by pre-1950 doctors and fasting experts. Usually I can get partway through and then move to the another book, However I read the Hay book at least twice. I already drink fresh-squeezed orange juice through the day. Occasionally store-bought pineapple juice. This student is finally listening. Usually in a day, I drink the juice of 8 of those small juicy oranges - I think they’re Valencia’s? We can buy them by the bag, around 5 pounds for about $7.

I have it in my mind to make a simple vegetable stir-fry using a bit of grape seed oil (it has a high smoke point) and make a sauce, maybe a bit of Tamari and peanut or almond butter and maple syrup or some such thing. I’d skip the rice / pasta that’s usually served with such a meal (too acid-forming and I never want those starches anyway - in my mind they’re just filler) I figure that I need to allow myself these treats once in a while. I know that if I don’t keep it simple, I’ll be too tempted to go back to my old ways. Is this type of meal ok?

With food, the question is - how far down the rabbit hole do I want to go, if you know what I mean. I know you say don’t worry but ... at 60 years of age, I know myself and I know from experience that old habits have a nasty way of creeping back.

I’m trying to imagine 5X hotter than Adult Longevity Spices! That would be a whole different type of adventure.

Many thanks for all I’ve learned from you, it’s made a huge difference in my life.

All the Very Best to you and your Family.
