Small doses of HC are reported to be really helpful for some people. A friend and her integrative doctor found a helpful combo of low dose HC and related substances--pregnenolone, progesterone cream, adrenal glandular, etc.

As a middle aged guy who has rather normal health I still like the effect of low dose pregnenolone and DHEA, especially on stressful days. My integrative doctor has tested me a few times over the years. I'm now confident I can feel the effects of a safe dose and recognize the effects of taking too much; however I take a day or two off occasionally.
