I looked at this for another friend but never tried it myself, I hear that pharmaceutical grade hexane free organic castor oil could heal cataracts within 6 months more or less. It's something to investigate further if someone prefers to avoid considering surgery. I still believe proper diet is a significant contributor to healing. There are a lot of interesting natural remedies and solutions floating around the web, but depends on your situation and needs.
