I just bought a cheap sauna suit and one of those vests that carry a lot of water and am about to start jogging in it but haven't found much data on the idea of sweating and exercising for detoxing. Just general info saying it's good for losing weight temporarily but overall you just lose a lot of water and electrolytes and is dangerous. To it seems like as long as you eat enough salt and keep hydrated it should only clean you through your pores but I'm no doctor or scientist. Found this though
And I've found nothing in Health Forums on this other than just using a sauna which seems kinda fringy and associated with a lot of controversy and skepticism. And idk how to read studies. There seems to be a study somewhere to support any claim.
Also I wonder how it might benefit the skin as someone with bad contact dermatitis. I get it real bad from wrestling/martial arts. Might a lot of sweating perhaps earlier in the day prior to doing martial arts sorta prime my skin for the activity or just the extra activity of the skin to perspire being good for the it. Idk. So anyway, what do you guys think?
