Daniel Miller's moist healing method has made things worse.

I will admit, he used aquaphor and a steroid, I just used aquaphor.
I followed his method for 9 months nearly two years ago and now the EC has fully spread to areas of my lips which were completely healthy tissue. I have had EC for 17yrs and the last 2 have been the absolute worst I have ever seen. It has completely ruined my self esteem.

He claims healing takes place faster under moist conditions. I believe the opposite. If the lips are constantly overly moisturized then it can be a perfect breeding ground for pathogens/bacteria and all types of other germs. They love moist warm environments.

If you are going to try this method, please take extra care and pay close attention. If the EC spreads and you see no improvements. Quit. Just stop.

Stick with eating a healthy Diet and avoid stress. At least we know those things help, it may not heal but it almost certainly helps.
