Re: 20 minutes, but worth it
Yes, successful strategies in most things are the simpler ones often. We can make a strong case, that much good is already known long ago, and a problem is that MD's today are oblivious to beneficial simple facts, already in literature. Then you also have profit motives of pharma business, to make synthetic vitamins, that displace the good ones. A good example is vitamin E, the stores sell you one isomer of tocopherol and call it vit. E but in nature there are several forms of tocopherols, that work together. So for me, I use wheat germ oil. Like, WOW, I am amazed at its effects, I threw my "pure vitamine E" into the trash some time ago. It is same for vitamin A, retinol, like, who needs that crap ? There are many carotenoids and body needs all of them, so the answer is easy to just eat the right vegetables, many of them have these carotenoids so vitamin A deficincy is not something to worry about. I'm rambling, sorry
Minerals ? I'd classify them into groups:
1) electrolyte and other minerals you can take a lot of
2) minerals there is a lesser range of usefulness
3) catalytic minerals that should only be very trace amounts
#1 includes water soluble minerals, sodium potassium magnesium calcium, sulfate, chloride
#2 includes lithium, borates, strontium, zinc, iodine, rubidium, copper
#3 includes chromium, manganese, cobalt, nickel, tin, rubidium, cesium molybdenum, vanadium, iron,
above lists not all inclusive, only provided to give the gist of the idea, look to Nature to see correct dosages, she teaches us.
Taking too much of a #3 defeats the purpose, some things necessary at small amounts, have opposite and different and deleterious effects if taken too much. People tend to be that way, they think if a little is good that more is better. Not so, I can cure some things using very dilute substance 10 to the -14 power, but if I use same substance at 1 part in 100,000 it has a very very very very very bad effect. Some sex hormones in sea creatures are active at 10 to the -18 power of dilution, and there is a clue in that, this was known 80 years ago. It is free radical chemistry, and free radicals are not "bad" as the media always teaches. Life depends on free radicals and all these minerals play a role by the enzymes and substrates they influence particularly in reticuloendothelial system with free radicals, metabolizing sugars outside the inferior Krebs cycle, which does not account for all the energy. There is a different mechanism happening at same time, that organized medicine ignores b/c it points to why cell proliferative disease happens in the first place. Haha, too much science but you get the point. I can stop gelatin from becoming gelatin using only one part in 10 million of certain quinones, because it generates a free-radical cascade. This is the same way our immunity works, it is like a nuclear chain reaction. It is why Dr. Sam Chachoua remedies work, the same way as William Koch's except Chochoua hasn't yet realized it, if he did he would restrict his patient's diets and would only need a single administration. Many things which ppl believe are healthy for them, really are not, they kill certain free radical cycles.
So be careful with minerals, the ones in group 1, a person can't hurt themselves too much with, group 2, one needs a little more care and group 3 minerals need to be carefully watched. Like these people with these B12 shots, in my opinion a bad idea, they seem good at first because they're getting an effect that is differnet from the proper mechanism and long term is not good for them what I've observed. Some trace mineral supplements sold are ok but really have to read the labels carefully. I wish it were easier, but its not. But, it is. A friend of mine does autopsies, he said half the corpses have aneurisms, which suggests half the population is deficient in copper, ok I'm rambling, I better go
