Do a search on TCM tongue diagnosis and see what pops up - TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) uses the tongue to diagnose conditions and it can be quite helpful. You have to understand the terminology that TCM uses, for instance "damp, heat, Qi" etc. There are many situations that TCM looks at which include color, shape etc. Doing a quick search, a yellow tongue coating represents heat or infection in Western terms, but you will have to look at further.
