Options for Chronic Daily Head Colds and Loss of Taste and Smell

Looking for help for my father who for more than 20 years caught something on a plane which gave him chronic daily head colds along with a decreased sense of smell and taste. Doctors say that it is viral and that surgery will help. My father declined but recently started to think about it. I am wondering if there are any other options. Thank you. Tweet
