Re: 'Morgellons disease: a filamentous borrelial dermatitis'

Thank you - might be premature congratulations though in my particular case - we shall see...

I am very familiar with the OSU center - They are doing important and very useful research - imo, they lead the research pack...hopefully, they will continue to raise enough money to complete the research, publish for medical journals, and open a treatment center. I understand that is their plan.

Once published, the new research will be a valuable resource for clinical diagnosis by every physician - that is a huge step in finally gaining acceptance by doctors, and gives patients a fighting chance to avoid being diagnosed as delusional and start getting real, appropriate and effective clinical treatment. In time, DP will be the exception diagnosis (there will always be holdouts, but the beginning of the end of that sort of response will be initiated) - with the right media coverage, this could be accomplished in relative quick order and opens up more funding and research and help.

In addition and related, there is a full length documentary movie 'Skin Deep - The Battle Over Morgellons' that is trying to distribute that references the Charles E. Holman Center for Morgellons Research (among others) at OSU - It shows both sides including the ego-driven physicians (my label) who adamantly oppose this research as an afront to their opinions that all of this is delusional - there are a lot of credentials at stake, and apparently THAT is more important to some physicians (not all, but certainly those outspoken and fighting against the research that conflicts with their published work) than finding out what is really causing the massive number of cases globally. Here is link to the movie trailer and related info:

FYI, I have no "skin in the game" on any of this except my own personal skin...

...Until the $ is raised, the wheels will keep turning, but there will be no traction for actual treatment application for patients by the general population of physicians.

It is tragic that that it takes this type of effort to help resolve correctly what seems obvious is a critical and major medical issue, and stop having to deal with a medical community at large, that works against the patient's best interest with no sactioned alternative to turn to (AND applies a stigma that negatively affects every facet of their life and their family's lives).

At least things are moving more rapidly in the right direction... the last 2 years has seen greater progess than the previous 20 years.

Spread the word!!

Again, thank you for the reply!!!
