atients having type I diabetes are required to take insulin therapy for their entire life. Most of them require minimum two doses of insulin daily with dose being adjusted on the basis of self-monitoring of blood glucose levels. It is recommended by ADA to consider patient’s age while establishing glycemic goals for pre-prandial, bedtime/overnight and HbA1C levels.
