You are correct, probiotics are marketed as the latest and greatest. Dr. Leo Galland talks about this, that oftentimes that by adding probiotics, you are stimulating more immune action which is not good, the second problem is that there are a wide variety of probiotics and indiscriminately adding any probiotic could be problematic.

Sounds like a SIBO issue may be at play.
