Forever Missed - Cora Lynn Bettcher 1967 - 2018
I never had the privilege of being a close friend with Cora, but I nevertheless feel privileged to have had our paths cross. What a kind, gentle, caring soul she was. And what a lover of art! Many times I have had my day brightened with the awesome art images she shared. You can see them yourself at this link:

Or just do a search at FB for "Cora Bettcher"
I was shocked to find out about Cora's untimely passing or even what illness she struggled with. However, I am told that she participated in animal rescues in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina where there was a horrific mix of toxins and mold. That would be like her . . . sigh. Here is what is posted at the memorial to Cora at Forever Missed (https://www.forevermissed.com/cora-lynn-bettcher/#about), where I encourage you to go and post a note of remembrance.
*50 years old
*Born on July 5, 1967 .

Cora Lynn Bettcher left this world for a better place on February 28, 2018. She was born in Oberlin, Ohio July 5th, 1967. Cora attended Huron High School through her sophomore year and graduated from Kingswood / Cranbrook School in Bloomfield, Michigan, where her interest in the art world was born.
She attended Boston University. In 1995, Cora opened her first gallery in Miami Beach and a few years later a second in Miami. Due to illness in 2005, she closed her galleries and was encouraged by a friend to move to Fort Myers, Florida
She is survived by her mother, Avis Williams and husband Hugh, Sullivan, Maine; her brother Tad Bettcher and wife Donna, North Yarmouth, Maine. She was predeceased by her father, Richard Bettcher, and paternal grandparents Louis and Leota Bettcher, and maternal grandparents, Gene and Esther Walker. Cora deeply loved her Ohio cousins, aunts and uncles.
There will be no service, only memories.
