How my genital warts went away

I promised myself I’d share my genital warts story and solution, in the hopes it will help someone.
First off, before, I never believed in “home remedies”. Now I do. Especially after 3 cryotherapy / freezing sessions at the doctors’ and $500 out-of-pocket costs AFTER insurance did nothing for my warts. And, to my horror, the genital warts spread all over my perineum and anal areas.
I also tried over-the-counter salicylic acid and freezing treatments. Did not work for me. And the warts got bigger.
Then I read about apple cider vinegar and crushed aspirin. I read the active ingredients of aspirin and it all made sense. It also made sense to use apple cider vinegar, an acid, to soften warts and slough off dead skin.
So, I crushed aspirin to a powder and added some apple cider vinegar to make a paste. The proportions did not seem to matter to me.
I tried using only crushed aspirin mixed with water, to lessen the acidity, but found it less effective.
I then took a mirror and applied it to the warts via cotton buds. Left it overnight.
I went to pee the following morning and the blackened shriveled up warts come off the tissue when I wiped!
I repeated the paste that night and more blackened shriveled up warts fell off throughout the day.
By the 3rd night, I felt the burn from the aspirin and vinegar. My skin felt raw and painful. So I gave it a rest and applied petroleum jelly daily. I didn’t check my genital area for about a week .
BUT after a week of letting my skin heal, I was in the shower and felt dismayed that although many warts were gone (and I had a lot!), many were still there and had merely shrunk.
So, I did 2 more overnight crushed aspirin+apple cider vinegar paste applications. This time, instead of a cotton bud, I used a cotton pad and just slathered the paste all over my perineum and anal area. All over. I realized I might’ve missed some spots using a cotton bud.
More blackened shriveled up warts sloughed off the next day. Appeared in my pantyliners and on the tissues when I wiped.
And this time, instead of using petroleum jelly to heal my burned/raw skin from the acidic paste, I used zinc oxide diaper rash cream. Healing skin can be very itchy, so the zinc oxide alleviated the itch. I believe zinc oxide made a difference (I also Googled it and found a medical journal piece about the effectiveness of zinc oxide on genital warts).
And for the first time in months, my genital and anal areas feel smooth. I am amazed and relieved. I don’t take it for granted anymore. I was so worried I’d feel bumpy and warty for a long time. Thank goodness to have found something that works.
