What is identity????

Maybe I missed something, but I don't see a forum description so I can only guess if this about the philosophical concept/understanding and effect of self-IDENTITY (Freud's ID).



God relates the identity/ego to the disruption of peaceful co-existence (MAN'S way).

Interestingly, the original (and ONLY valid) designation for the/His disciples (in Acts 9:2) was that they were MEMBERS of His Son's body (they BELONGED to it, they were not FOLLOWERS of anything)......they were members of "THE WAY".

The English translation of the name "The TAO" is "THE WAY".

....AND....

....And His true name is I AM WHO I AM (Exodus 3:14 and 15).

.....AND we are to each be a....

a lover of goodness, master of himself, upright, holy, and self-controlled; (Titus 1:8).

Do we place/form our identity in CITIZENSHIP?


I also discussed with someone why they couldn't find their birth certificate from Washington State (because they were born on a U.S.A. military base,.....military bases are NOT US territory).

The chief pharisee persecuted the disciples of The Lord (they were NOT called "christians", they were of THE WAY.

Act 9:2 so that if he found any belonging to the Way, men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.

In the scripture books that have been made available to us, we are offered no clues as to Jesus’s whereabouts for 18 years (and we don’t seem to care either…shame on us). We have rumors that He was in ancient China and India (but our teachers NEVER BOTHERED TO FIND OUT).
